The subtle mind practice was more helpful than the loving kindness exercise. When listening to the subtle mind practice it really caught my attention and explained to me how to properly focus. The loving kindness exercises relaxed me to only a certain point but never reinforced the idea of focus and limiting outside distractions. I was able to really relax with the subtle mind practice because I was able to concentrate on the narrators voice instead of an image that the loving kindness exercise wanted me to explore.
There is a known connection between the mind and body. If we are able to apply the concept of mind/activity levels in our activity we will have a more expansive sense of the body with its relationship to the body. We must break through and separate ourselves to experience a high consciousness which opens us up to a lightness that enters out life which directly cleanses the mind and body. All three components of the mind, body and spirit are used to achieve full integral health.
