Unit 6 Blog

Loving Kindness exercise was really helpful is making me see there is more to loving-kindness that meets the eye. Loving kindness is not only the feeling you have for a loved one but the capacities you have for all living things. This assessment had me repeat 4 phrases for 10 minutes. Upon repetition I allowed myself to open my heart and mind in the development of loving kindness. I looked for all individuals to live a life of sustained health, happiness and wholeness to include those who I might be an enemy of.
The integral assessment allowed me to analyze myself and realize which areas of my mental activity need the most attention or the areas I a most weak. I was able to view all aspects psychospiritual, biological, interpersonal, and worldly and relate it to my thoughts and assessment of myself. I was able to analyze which areas needed development and which areas I felt developed on. I was able to identify a weakness in myself that could be strength in someone else. I came to realize people are unique in their own and have different areas where they can develop. As long as we are able to be our toughest critic and note the needing of future development, only than we can sustain a life of integral health.

  1. I am glad that you had such a positive experience with this experience. I tried really hard, but when I was repeating the statements I get getting distracted and had a really hard time focusing. I feel that if I would have possibly attempted this at another time when I am able to relax that I may be more successful. Your blog motivated me to come back to this and try it again once I am able to do other exercises in my life in order to clear the mental clutter from my mind. Thank you for sharing.

  2. It is really nice to hear a good positive post about all the growth we have been experiencing through out this coarse. I'm not sure being our own toughest critic is a really good thing because sometimes we punish our selves to hard for no apparent reasons. Thank you for sharing Jewel.
