In order to fulfill and sustain a life of holistic/integral health one must first develop psychologically, spiritually and physically. You must complete your inner self and ground yourself mentally than work towards the other developed categories second. If I follow a plan, there is no doubt that I can achieve the happiness and wholeness I endure for my life.
Physically - I must follow my exercise plan and eat right because that is the fuel that will govern my body. Eating right will not only fuel my body but also reverse the effects of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity.
Mentally – I must apply relaxation techniques into my daily routine because sometimes the stressors of life can get the best of you. I must develop and learn most things in life, to keep my brain active and exercise it to be mentally tough and able to handle anything that comes my way.
Spiritually – We all have a purpose and it’s our duty to fulfill this higher purpose by finding it. Something needs to drive us when we are down and lift our spirits to achieve greatness. Spiritual healing is usually the hardest step to fulfill but once obtained, integral health is within grasp.
Everyone is unique and different and have their own approach to holistic/integral health. With that in mind this formula will work for some but not all and vice versa. Meditation seems like the best approach to relax for me while yoga might be for another. Whatever approach you take, just know you must stick with your choices and create a whole new outlook on life and see the world as half full versus half empty.
